In this extended clip, Sally Rogers plays DC Jo Masters in this episode from the long-running ITV police drama. In the previous episode, Jo realized that crime scene photographer Rachel Inns had killed a supermodel but was knocked out by and captured by the killer. At the start of this episode we see her in an otherwise empty bath bound hands behind and ankles with a wraparound shiny black tape gag. She manages to struggle out of the bath and onto the floor but is interrupted by her captor before she can find anything to free herself. Later she's tied to an office chair with arms, her wrists taped to the arms and still gagged. She maneuvers the chair on its wheels to the kitchen drawers and tries to reach in for a knife, but is again interrupted before she can escape.
The killer then removes her gag by cutting the tape with scissors and talks to her. She is given a drink then her mouth is wiped dry. When Rachel tires of being told to give herself up she takes a large roll of what appears to be black tape and reapplies the gag. Jo tries to continue talking but her voice fades as the tape is wound around her head. Afterward ,officers, who have traced a text from Jo’s mobile to the killer’s address, knock on the door. Jo is still tied to the chair and her ankles have now been secured to prevent her moving around again. She frees a foot by wriggling it out of one of her boots and tries to propel the chair to the front door but is unable to reach it due to a step. Failing to hear her mmmphing and assuming the house to be empty the officers leave.
Later, Jo is seen in the back of a white van that Rachel is driving. Still wraparound gagged and tied hands behind, Her captor orders her to keep still when she tries to cut through the tape on her wrists by rubbing them against the handle of a metal briefcase. Jo is taken to a disused Pump House and at 43 minutes she is now un-gagged, with her hands zip-cuffed in front, and Rachel threatens to shoot her with a gun that she had earlier taken from the Evidence Room under the pretext of photographing it. Her colleagues identify the Pump House from photographs she had taken previously and arrive just in time.
Jo talks Rachel down and she's arrested, in tears.
