Beba Loncar plays Gerda who is kidnapped from her bath by a Viking warrior who is smitten with her. After sneaking into her lodgings, he gags her with a ready-made knotted cloth and carries her back to the waiting vessel trussed up and struggling inside a large sack. As the boat enters the water however, the men are convinced that Odin is displeased and brought them no wind and demand a blood sacrifice. With reluctance, Gerda is brought up bound, gagged and struggling and the captain knocks her out before doing the fateful deed and tossing her body in the water. But it's all a ruse to appease the men and Gerda is shown still bound up and gagged below decks. She gets her gag off and yells angrily only to be tightly re-gagged by the captain and warned to be quiet or the sailors will likely murder them all.
