Cybill Shepherd plays Madelyn 'Maddie' Hayes in this TV movie pilot episode for the quirky crime-solving comedy. In this extended scene, she and her partner are tied to chairs and threatened with being burned quite horribly on a hot stove top, unless they reveal what has become of an incriminating watch by perhaps the prissiest hitman ever. Maddie finally convinces him that the watch is with the police and he and his pet thug leave. Her partner struggles over and gets untied first, but he leaves Maddie tied up a bit longer to explain matters to her. After she's untied, she flattens him with a punch.
