Feeling sorry for Judge Harry Stone on his birthday, Public Defendant Billie Young (Ellen Foley) pays him a visit, but any potential romantic sparks are quickly dashed by a somewhat nebbish burglar who has invaded Harry's apartment. The pair are tied together back to back with ribbon and seated on a single stool, as the would-be criminal rants about his pathetic sad life. After a failed but hilarious attempt to summon help, they wind up face to face on the couch
