Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig) is captured by Eduardo aka El Macho after he finds out she's working with the Anti-Villain League. Our hero Gru rides to the rescue and El Macho reveals Lucy bound with lots of rope to shark mounted on a rocket festooned with more rockets and bombs, all of which is aimed at a volcano. Later, as Gru tries to free Lucy, El Macho's pet chicken clicks the remote control and sends the pair soaring. Gru cuts lucy free, and the pair get their relationship straightened out before it occurs to anyone to simply jump off the rocket before it hits.
