In this episode from a 70s science fiction program aimed at kids, the team of the Ark II are caught up in a dispute between some scavengers and a small village, when the leader's daughter is kidnapped. In the first bit, Jewel (Bonnie Van Dyke) is spotted by Adam the intelligent ape as she's being chased by scavengers. Jonah and Samuel try to find her but the group has all but disappeared. Jonah tries from aerial reconnaissance with a jetpack, but the kidnappers keep the girl pinned down under some trees and hand gag her. Jewel is locked in a cage built into a cliff base. the lead scavenger approaches the villagers and demands 4 bags of grain for Jewel's freedom. Dad tries to exchange himself for the girl, but is betrayed and locked up with her. the Ark II team try to rescue the prisoners by using their scout car to pull the bars down, but the scavengers return too soon. Ruth is chased off and Samuel is locked up as well. A landslide threatens to crush the prisoners and the scavengers try to get them out, but it's almost too late. an old world War 1 tank is pressed into service to pull down the bars and rescue everyone.
