Alexandra Daddario plays Annabeth, daughter of Athena who in this sequence along with her companions have fallen into the lair of Medusa. The monstrous creature toys with Annabeth and her friend, who have shut their eyes to keep from being turned to stone. Medusa's persistent teasing makes Annabeth's companion take a look and she turns to stone, leaving the girl bound by the new statue's stony grip. She's cut loose with a sword blow soon after.
