The USS Voyager receives a garbled transmission from Starfleet Command via the Hirogen communications network, previously used to send The Doctor to the Alpha Quadrant, but after just a few words the transmission stops. Later along in the episode, Tuvok and 7 of 9 (Jeri Ryan) are captured when their shuttle is attacked by the Hirogen vessel, overtaken, and they are stunned. The pair wake up in a trophy room, firmly bound with straps and despite the ease with which they were "hunted" are declared prized relics by the Hirogen captain. After some arguing with his sub-ordinate, the captives are apparently doomed to be carved up for display....
