In this is a 2011 action thriller Mara (Maria Bello) has just revealed to her suspicious son that he's adopted, and afterward she's attacked by two agents, who try to chloroform her. She ably fights them off however. Later in the movie, while onboard a train, love interest Karen (Lily Collins) draws the attention of hired killer while she's in the cafe car. He follows, attacks and hand gags her. Knocking her to the floor, he threatens to cut off one of her fingers with cigar cutter if she doesn't tell him where the boyfriend is. Karen is left behind, gagged with duct tape, her arms zip tied above her head to a chair mounted on the floor. Karen thrashes and kicks (since her legs are free) and breaks a glass, which she then uses to free herself off-screen. She rejoins the boyfriend just as he's tossing the killer out of the broken train window.
