In the first bit, Nancy Murphy the estranged wife of Robocop / Peter Murphy (played by Jennifer Griffin) and their son are in the clutches of a corrupt medical operation that's keeping people jobless on the streets, and are about the be forcibly lobotomized. Escorted in high-tech handcuffs by two guards, the captives are taken to a surgical wing. Nancy in fastened to the table and mask pressed over her face by a robotic arm. Robocop hears his son's call for help and breaks in on the scene to rescue them.
Afterward, Detective Lisa Madigan (Yvette Nipar) does some snooping around a parked van and discovers explosives inside, but is promptly knocked out and captured by the baddie. She wakes up bound and tightly cleave-gagged with a red checkered cloth, and the psycho explains his plan to blow up the 'malcontents' with his bomb and for a back-up he has a sonic weapon that will liquefy the brains of anyone in range of the blast. Lisa is left to struggle uselessly, watching the timer wind down. Once more, tall, dark and clanky is at the rescue.
