In this strange made for TV film about people from a poisoned alternate Earth replacing their replicas on our world, Marion Ross plays Maggie who is caught by the replicas of her husband and a town police officer. She's brought out by boat, handcuffed and tape-gagged to the lake where a vortex opens in the water, acting as a gateway to the other world. She gets the gag off to plead for her right to exist but she's ignored. Afterward, Jackie Ivers (Yasmine Bleeth) is caught by two other replicas, one of whom is her fiancee. The group is cornered as she discovers the truth and is injected with a needle in her hand and passes out. At the lake, she wakes up with hands bound behind and is gagged with tape by her replica and put on the boat with the other two to be replaced. Jackie struggles to cut her ropes as the boat approaches the vortex. A boat piloted by one of few remaining real people distracts the baddies as Jackie breaks loose and the other captives make a mad leap into the water.
