Lonely professional assistant Peggy Fair (the lovely Gail Fisher) falls for precisely the wrong sort of man who is involved in a mob scheme about a missing package of morphine. Toward the end of the episode, the truth is revealed and he prevents her from making a phone call. In her bedroom, Peggy is cleave gagged and tied hand and foot with thin cords by the baddie. He leaves her briefly to check up on her son who is calling for her. Peggy tries for the bedroom phone, but he stops her, and pulls the wire out of the wall. As the baddie leaves, our hero arrives and rescues her off-screen.
