A bank clerk provides the times and dates of payroll shipments to his desperado partner and the
crook proceeds to pull a succession of stage coach robberies, thereby threatening both the bank and the stage line with bankruptcy. When the Lone Ranger and Tonto arrive in town to investigate, the crooks decide to loot the bank and get out of town. The female bank president, Mabel Howard (Esther Somers), stumbles upon the clerk robbing the safe. He grabs her and spirits her off to the hideout, where she is bound securely to a chair and detective gagged with a wide, thick piece of cloth. Just as the bad guys are going to ensure that dead women tell no tales, the Lone Ranger bursts into the cabin and shoots the gun from the villain's hand.
