In this extended clip for the episode, a seemingly unstoppable killer who is kidnapping and murdering the daughters of police officers to avenge the loss of his own daughter after she hangs herself while he's locked up in prison. In the first bit, Therese (played by Sally Frejrud Carlsson) struggles on the filthy mattress handcuffed, chained and tape gagged as the killer enters the room with a knife. Later, the killer disguises himself as a doctor and enters the hospital room of Officer Linda Wallander who's recovering from a rifle accident that blinded her. after an 'examination" she disappears and her boyfriend is found stabbed on the floor.
Afterward, Linda is thrust into the holding room with Therese, wher wandering around she discovers a fly-riddled corpse form an earlier victim. A desperate call to her father gives him the details of a meeting place, but Kurt Wallander has a plan. at a warehouse he's joined b the father of the other missing girl and together they are forced to witness both women kneeling on a loading platform with nooses around their necks. With the click of the computer mouse, the platform lowers and the ladies begin to hang. The men plead for the women's lives and he relents briefly. Kurt tries his stratagem, claiming that the man's daughter is still alive.
