Team member is Zealot is captured and chained up after she discovers that members of the Coda, a warrior women society she developed and trained, have turned into mercenaries and are working for the Daemonites who are after a newly developed earthquake weapon being used in a war between two small neighboring countries. Grifter tries to rescue her, and he does manage to get the drop on Artemis the leader of the Coda and two other coda members with a quick bola-gun shot, but he is unsuccessful.
