A Railroad Retrospective: TV Trevails
While in no way exhaustive here's a few TV scenes of damsels on railroad tracks I've garnered over time. Can anyone think of anymore ?
As the World Turns:
Psycho woman Cleo Babbitt (played by Jennifer Landon) tricks and knocks out her romantic rival Gwen Norbeck (also played by Jennifer Landon) and her BFF Jade (played by Elena Goode) and leaves them trussed up on railroad tracks that are supposed to be abandoned. She was wrong, of course. A train is soon bearing down on the hogtied pair, who can't seem to stop arguing long enough to get themselves loose.

Coors Beer Commercial:
Played for laughs, a damsel in distress faces a classic death trap, wriggling mummified in heavy rope on the railroad tracks and as train races toward her. To her rescue comes ex-football great Howie Long, who after quipping about the professional rope-work sets about saving her life with the help of his trusty can of Coors (don't ask).

Even Stevens: "Louis in the Middle"
In a scene played for laughs; concerned about her brother's self-esteem, Ren (played by Margo Harshman) dresses up as a Damsel in Distress and is tied down to a miniature railroad tracks, awaiting his rescue as her friend dressed as the villain barrels down at her riding a miniature train.

The Perils of Superman
Noel Neill plays plucky reporter Lois Lane in this classic episode, where Superman is confronted by a mysterious pair of criminals in lead masks, with a vendetta against The Daily Planet staff as well as The Man of Steel. As each respective person is placed in their own death trap, Lois is shown gagged and tied to the railroad tracks, wriggling furiously as Superman flies to the rescue.

Avengers: The Gravediggers
While investigating sinister goings-on at a hospital, Mrs. Peel (portrayed by Diana Rigg) captures and ties up a nurse (played by Caroline Blakiston) with surgical linens so she can take her place in the operating theatre. The nurse however manages to wriggle and struggle across the floor to kick over a chair, alerting a guard who sets her free and Mrs. Peel is captured in turn. The villains fasten her to the operating table with gauze bandages (including a stuffed mouth gag with her head more or less strapped down to the table with more gauze) and decide to kill her in a suitably twisted 'accidental' fashion. We next see Mrs. Peel tied spreadeagle on scale-model sized railroad tracks with two of the villains mounted on the ride-on train, to run her down. John Steed dashes to the rescue...

Sabrina the Teenage Witch: "Silent Movie"
Played for laughs, Sabrina casts two silence spells to prevent herself and her Aunt Hilda from saying what they truly think about Aunt Zelda asking Sabrina's principal over for dinner, the resulting collision of magic trapping everyone in the household in a silent movie, with the principal cast as the sneering Snidely Whiplash style villain. First Sabrina (played by Melissa Joan Hart) ends up tied to some railroad tracks in her bedroom, then her best friend Valerie (played by Lindsay Sloane) stops by and ends up tied to railroad tracks in the living room when the now-villainous principal can't get the money she owes the school. Finally all four women, including the aunts (played by Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick respectively) wind up on the same piece of track, struggling frantically. Sabrina's boyfriend (now morphed into a Mountie by the spell) attempts to rescue them.

Honey West "Just the bear Facts Ma'am "
Anne Francis returns as Honey West in this episode involving Honey taking the place of a stunt-woman seriously injured on a movie set plagued by deadly accidents. After a hard day's work, Honey collapses on a divan in her dressing room and has a series of movie-styled nightmares, culminating in a dream of herself dressed silent movie damsel style, tied down to the railroad tracks- but with a clock racing at her instead of a train.
