In the 70's the character of Wonder Woman received a secret agent style makeover. Gone were the the invisible plane, the magic lasso, the bracelets and the star spangled bustier. In this tale, Diana and a companion are attacked by a horde of hooded figures after their train is thrown off the tracks. The duo are gassed unconscious, dragged to an underground lair, manacled and put on trial for their lives. Diana's companion convinces the leader to let him go and retrieve a man they are after named Dill, and they keep Diana hostage to ensure his return. She's chained up in a dungeon and later engineers her own escape.
