In this episode, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen get captured, gagged and tied together back to back by a super-villain dubbed Luminus, who has tainted the Earth's sun red like Krypton's sun and rob Superman of his powers. The baddie has our hero follow a bouncing ball of light through various cunning traps laden with holograms until finally reaching the bound and gagged captives for the final showdown.
