Hidden Hostages Part One --- By Captivepenny

Hidden Hostages

Foreword: After a lot of thought, I've decided to bring back a few of Captivepenny's stories. Penny passed away a few years ago at the tender age of 25, but she touched a lot of lives with her wit, sincerity, intelligence, honesty, and her love for a damsel in distress world that was wholly innocent and sweet but still exciting and fun to read about. Below is part one of the story Hidden Hostages, a tale that Penny herself would coyly remark as being "mostly true." True or not its as fun to read now as it was when it first made the scene.

On a secluded country road, inside a large cabin , two young women
were being forced along at gunpoint. Both of them were pretty, both
had their hands tied behind them, with white cloths folded thick and
tied tightly over their mouths for gags. They were dressed for bed, in
dorm-shirts and ankle socks and little else. The second of the pair, a
lovely blonde squinted back at their captor past the flashlight she
held in her right hand. She could see nothing beyond the glare
except for the tip of the pistol aimed at them.

They were forced toward the door that led to the basement of the
house. The kidnapper opened the door and gestured with her light.
The girls looked nervously at the steep dark stairs and made their
way slowly down. Another door was pushed open to the left. The
figure pressed the girls onward toward a pair of heavy wooden chairs
that squatted on the dirty floor beside some coils of rope and a box
filled with cloth, tape and other things.

The second girl knew what was happening at that moment. This
basement room was to be their prison. The kidnapper shoved each
girl in turn into a seat, eliciting muffled moans of alarm and protest.
She ignored them and fetched the coils of rope lying on the floor.
Penny winced as the ropes were drawn tight around her, once,
twice, three times across her chest before they were knotted behind
the back of the chair. Their captor repeated this across her stomach
and tied it off tight, pinning her in the seat. She then tied each ankle
to a chair leg.

Angela watched with wide-eyed terror as the mysterious figure tied
Penny firmly to her chair. She twisted her hands behind her back,
anxious to find some sort of purchase against the cords holding her.
She got to her feet and took about three steps before an iron-like arm
came across her stomach and shoved her hard back into her chair.
The kidnapper grabbed her face, pressing the gun tight to her
temple. No words were spoken, the implied threat was enough.
The woman picked up a second coil of rope and began tying Angela
in her seat as she had done with Penny. Across her chest and
stomach then each ankle tied to a chair leg. Angela wriggled inside
the tight ropes, with her hands bound behind her back and trapped
there by her body, she had no chance to escape.

Their captor tightened the gags ever more firmly in place before
she left the two helpless girls struggling silently in the cellar. The key
turning in the lock was as loud as a thunderclap in their ears.
Footsteps receded up the stairs and into the main part of the house.
Penny and Angela looked at the ceiling. Above them, their friends
were still asleep and blissfully unaware that the two of them had been
captured and one of their friends was the perpetrator.

Jodi walked into the kitchen rubbing her eyes, "Good morning
sleepyhead." Brianna called from behind the counter, sipping her
coffee.

The girl muttered something hateful back at her and wandered over
to the refrigerator, opened it and began poking around.

"Got any OJ ?" she asked over her shoulder.

"Sure, behind the milk." Brianna replied, glancing out the window.
Outside, Lisa was lounging in the hot tub talking to Charlette who was
sunbathing. Debra lay on chaise lounge reading a book as always.
Brianna smiled to herself. Jodi wandered over, the pitcher of orange
juice in one hand, a glass in the other. She set the glass on the
counter and poured herself a full measure. She blinked her eyes.

"What time is it anyway ?"
"Almost noon. You've slept the day away."
  "I was tired." she whined.
"Well it was a long trip."
"Where's Penny and her friend ?"
"Beats me. I'm sure they're around here somewhere."
"Well' I'm going to watch TV."
"It's a gorgeous day and your going to watch TV ?"
"Yep." Jodi walked off with her glass then paused, " Uh... where is
the TV? "

Brianna smiled," Downstairs. You can't miss it."

Jodi gave her a disparaging look, walked over to the basement door
and went below.

Brianna watched her go then finished her coffee. She put the
cup in the sink and went back to the room she was sharing with her
sister Sara. She opened her suitcase and fished out her swimsuit.
Spending the afternoon soaking in the hot tub sounded rather
inviting just then.

She went into the bathroom and changed out of her jeans an T-shirt
and slipped into the orange two-piece. She had just finished tying the
knots to the halter when she heard a soft padded sound outside the
door. Brianna perked her ears and listened. There was nothing now.
The girl walked back into the bedroom and closed her suitcase. A
bright yellow piece of paper flapped in the breeze. A note had been
taped to the lid on the outside. Brianna looked around suspiciously
and peeled the paper off. She opened the note and looked at it.

  It said:  LOOK BEHIND YOU
