In this goofy adaptation of the classic novel, Victoria Wood plays The Tea Lady a friend of the Jailer's daughter who voluntarily offers up her clothes as well as her freedom to help Mr. Toad escape from prison disguised as her. Mr. Toad ties the woman to a chair and gags her with a red cloth before climbing the dungeon stairs and blithely ignoring a friendly kiss from girl who helped him, he's on his way.
